The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has  paid a welcome visit to the newly appointed Managing Director of FrieslandCampina  WAMCO, Mr. Roger Adou, who assumed office in January 2024.

MAN Director -General, Segun Ajayi-Kadir, led the delegation; accompanied byMabel Michael (P.A. to the DG), Joseph Emoleke (Assistant Director, Membership Division), Kanayo Iwuchukwu (Assistant Director, Special Duties), Femi Gbadegun (Executive Secretary, Ikeja Branch), Oluchi Odimuko (Head, Sectoral and Regulatory Division), Elizabeth Lawal (Sectoral Executive Officer), and Salami Musa (Executive Assistant to the DG on Social Media and Internal Communication).

During the visit, Mr. Adou expressed delight at the DG’s presence and appreciated the opportunity to engage with critical stakeholders in the industry. The meeting allowed the new MD to discuss the organization’s goals, efforts in backward integration, the importance of government support for manufacturing investment, and the challenges faced in the business environment.

Additionally, Mr. Adou sought insights from the DG regarding MAN’s advocacy efforts. Segun Ajayi-Kadir, conveyed his appreciation to FrieslandCampina for their continued support of MAN’s advocacy initiatives.

He also briefed Mr. Adou on MAN’s relentless engagement with relevant stakeholders, particularly the government, to ensure that policies are conducive to the manufacturing sector. Notably, he shared details about the upcoming Manufacturing Summit scheduled for April 2024.

The summit aims to provide a platform for candid discussions on manufacturing in Nigeria, emphasizing its critical role in the nation’s growth.

Among the attendees from FrieslandCampina were Ore Famurewa, Executive Director of Corporate Affairs, and Ngozi Manukaji, Corporate Communications Manager.

The Managing Director of FrieslandCampina, Mr. Roger Adou, expressed satisfaction with the meeting’s outcomes and conveyed his eagerness for future engagements.

As a token of appreciation, the meeting concluded with the presentation of a Peak milk-branded mini truck to the Director- General of MAN.
