The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), has submitted its July 2-4 Nigerian Manufacturers Summit report to the Presidency, for actionable implementations.

In a statement on Monday, via the Association’s official media handle, said the event culminated in a dinner, where the Summit report was presented to the Presidency.

“We firmly believe that manufacturing plays a major role in enhancing sustainable economic development.
“The conversation around viable manufacturing sector took center stage as , in partnership with the Presidency, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, and Ernst & Young brought together critical stakeholders at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja for a groundbreaking 3-day Summit.

The event, themed ‘Rethinking Manufacturing’, brought together industry leaders, relevant Government ministries, departments, agencies, multilateral organizations and development partners, regional institutions, corporate entities, and Industry experts matter experts to review the current manufacturing state and chart a new path forward.

The Summit was structured around five thematic pillars:
– Pillar 1: Promote Growth, Upscale Productivity and Improve competitiveness

– Pillar 2: Enhance Energy Security and Infrastructure Development

– Pillar 3: Improve Macroeconomic Environment, Ease of Doing Business and Peris-coping our ESG

– Pillar 4: Improve Patronage of Made in Nigeria Products and Local Content Development

– Pillar 5: Leverage Regional and Continental Trade for Export Development.”
