Coca-Cola HBC says 944,948 young people across its markets in Nigeria and the rest of the globe have benefited from its Youth Empowerment Programme.

” Our aims is to train one million young people by 2025 so that they are equipped  with  the skills, experience and confidence they need to secure a brighter future,” said the company in its latest sustainability report,  tagged, Our sustainability journey | At a glance


“By the end of 2023, through our flagship community programme #YouthEmpowered, we had trained 944,948 young people since its launch in 2017 and we are confident we will meet our 2025 target.

The programme boosts employability of young people.
We take pride in our achievements so far while remaining focused on opening up a more sustainable future. And we know there’s still work to do,” said the company.

The company estimated that its projects in Nigeria had provided about 4.8 billion litres of clean and safe water in the last five years.Currently, we have 12 water stewardship community projects in water risk areas.In 2023, we started new projects in Maiduguri, Nigeria. With support from The Coca-Cola Foundation, we delivered solar-powered boreholes with overhead tanks in four communities.

These aim to give 14,000 local people access to safe WASH services.
