Ambrose presented the policy during the Lagos State Industrial Policy Consultative Assembly at Alausa Ikeja.

Ambrose emphasized the need to realign industrial strategies with modern economic trends, sustainability, and global competitiveness.

The policy aims to position Lagos as an industrial hub, enhancing investment, infrastructure, and job creation in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S+ Development Agenda and Lagos State Development Plan (LSDP 2052).

She noted that the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the importance of building local production capacity for economic resilience.

Lagos, as Nigeria’s commercial capital, is committed to developing a competitive industrial ecosystem leveraging its resources and talents.

Guest Speaker Reuben Bamidele from UNIDO praised Lagos’ commitment to policy-driven industrialization and the need for sustainability and innovation.

He urged for more public-private partnerships in green industrialization and suggested that the state must embrace technology and research in production processes.

The policy aims to position Lagos as an industrial hub, enhancing investment, infrastructure, and job creation in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S+ Development Agenda and Lagos State Development Plan (LSDP 2052).
