Those words were coined by the President of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Otunba Francis Meshioye.The occasion was during a delegation of the company’s management led by Mr Adeniyi Tobi, to the leadership of MAN.Otunba Meshioye commended Unilever Nigeria for its longstanding presence and contributions to Nigeria’s manufacturing ecosystem. Otunba Meshioye reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to the Nigeria First initiative, encouraging manufacturers to continue exploring sustainable, locally sourced alternatives as a pathway to strengthening the domestic industry.During the visit, Mr Tobi reflected on his long-standing engagement with the MAN Export Group and expressed appreciation for MAN’s critical advocacy in support of Nigeria’s manufacturing sector. He reaffirmed Unilever Nigeria’s enduring commitment to local manufacturing and to its strategic partnership with MAN.Mr. Tobi further highlighted the company’s ongoing transformation journey, sharing that Unilever has adopted a resilient and adaptive business model focused on agile pricing, expanded local sourcing, and streamlined production. These efforts underpin a refreshed brand portfolio that aligns with the evolving preferences of Nigerian consumers, delivered through a robust local distribution network.
