In Kaduna State , the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) leadership led by its President and the Director-General and some council members visited member companiese from June 24th to 26th, 2024.
Industrial Times, learned that the tour included visits to: Euro Products Ltd, Armeco Ltd, Queensway Ltd, PAN Nigeria Ltd, RH Plastics, NOCACO Ltd, JAFCO Ltd, Sunglass Ltd, CHELLCO Limited,and Nigerian Breweries Plc.
The aim was to connect with members, understand their operations, learn about their challenges, and brief them on the Association’s advocacy efforts. Members visited expressed enthusiasm and appreciation for the visit, highlighting the true state of their operations.
A major concern echoed by all factories visited is the astronomical increase in electricity tariffs, posing a significant threat to their survival.
However, members expressed relief due to the subsisting court order restraining the DisCos from continuing the increase in electricity tariffs pending the determination of the suit.
The Association’s legal action has provided temporary relief, and the Association remains committed to its advocacy for a long-term solution.
