The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) and Illaj Sugar Company in Kaduna State are in talk to deepen its production volume through research, technology and value addition.
Raw Materials360⁰ , a publication of the Council, reported that the development followed a visit by officials of the RMRDC Kaduna State Coordinating Office to the pilot plant of Illaj Sugar Company in Makarfi, Kaduna State, on August 18, 2026.
“The visit focused on assessing the company’s processing operations and identifying areas where research, technical expertise and local technology could be deployed to improve sugarcane production and processing,”said the publication.
