NIPR builds enthusiasm for La­gos PRFest 2026

La­gos PRFest 2026, is scheduled to hold from Friday, July 3 to Thursday, July 9, 2026, under the theme: ‘Security, Nation Building and Public Trust: Fostering Collective Responsibility through Stra­tegic Public Relations.’

The Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Sam­uel Ayetutu, disclosed this during the Chapter’s Month­ly Meeting/PR Clinic held recently at the Eko FM Multipurpose Hall, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos.

Mr Ayetutu emphasised that PRFest is one of the chap­ter’s most significant pro­fessional initiatives aimed at bringing together com­munication professionals, business leaders, policymak­ers, academics, students and other stakeholders to engage on issues of national impor­tance.

According to him, the 2026 edition is particularly significant as it focuses on the critical intersection of security, nation-building and public trust at a time when strategic communication has become indispensable to national development and social cohesion.

” Public Relations practi­tioners have a crucial role to play in fostering trust, promoting responsible com­munication and strengthen­ing the relationship between institutions and the public.

PRFest 2026 will provide a unique opportunity for stakeholders to collectively examine these responsibili­ties and contribute to nation­al development,” he said.

The planning Committee Chairman , PRfest 2026 Bo­laji Abimbola, disclosed that the committee was working diligently to deliver a memo­rable and impactful festival.

He assured members that all arrangements were be­ing put in place to ensure a successful event that would meet the expectations of par­ticipants and stakeholders.
