Bravura Holdings, the brainchild of pan-African billionaire Benedict Peters, has unveiled Zimbabwe’s  first world-class lithium upgrade facility.


Bravura Holdings operates as a vertically integrated company with a robust portfolio of gold, copper, lithium, and steel assets in Ghana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, Nigeria, Namibia, and South Africa.

Benedict Peters is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Nigeria’s Aiteo Group.

Industrialtimesngr.com learned that the grand announcement was made during the 2024 invest in African Mining Indaba, themed ‘Unlocking Growth Potential for the Zimbabwe Mining Industry.’

The lithium facility with the capacity to process over five million tons of ore annually, is set to position Zimbabwe as a formidable player in the global lithium market.

During the conference, Peters detailed the comprehensive design of the facility, and  showcased its state-of-the-art features.
The facility boasts a truck feed in-field bin, twin wash plant, 27 conveyors with a waste return system, a drying and bagging plant, a wastewater recovery circuit, a synchronised diesel power plant, and a motor control centre equipped with programmable logic controllers and a touchscreen control room.
Additionally, provisions for a degrit circuit and spiral upgrade circuit for finer material processing ensure maximum efficiency and superior product quality.
The new lithium upgrade facility is more than just a milestone for Zimbabwe—it is a bold statement of the country’s potential.

This high-level in-country beneficiation initiative is expected to produce an upgraded lithium oxide product that adheres to the highest international standards, thereby opening new avenues in the global lithium market.
