The agreement was signed in Yaoundé on Wednesday by Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.), and Cameroon’s Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Mr Joseph Assomo, following two days of deliberations by defence and security experts from both countries.

The diplomats accredited to ECOWAS are H.E. Muhannad Alhammouri, Ambassador of the State of Palestine; H.E. John Akel Ballout Jr., Ambassador of the Republic of Liberia; H.E. The FRSC disclosed that recent nationwide enforcement operations led to the interception of about 1,000 vehicles allegedly using fake diplomatic plates, cloned registration documents, and other unauthorized identifiers.
Under the programme, “beneficiaries will undergo comprehensive entrepreneurship and business management training, including the internationally recognised Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) Programme. Participants will also receive support in certification and licensing processes to enhance their professional standing and competitiveness.”
Obi commended the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Attorney General Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), and their Ethiopian counterparts for finally concluding the protracted negotiations.
