A major highlight of the summit’s was the inauguration of the Finance Taskforce for Plastic Action in Nigeria, established to mobilise investment and accelerate financing for plastics circularity, recycling infrastructure and sustainable waste management across the country.
TCN operates through 10 regional offices, 31 sub-regions and 10 work centres across the country, reflecting the scale of Nigeria’s transmission infrastructure.
A total of 31 MDAs had already gone live on the platform and 21 more agencies are to be captured next, as the government is working assiduously to achieve 100 percent financial probity before the end of the year.
Founder and Executive Vice Chairman, SecureID, Kofo Akinkugbe noted that the company currently produces over 60 percent of locally issued payment cards in Nigeria, reflecting the scale, reliability and reach of its operations.
Any amount in excess of $10,000.00 but not more than $50,000.00 or its equivalent in other foreign currencies, provided the whole amount is declared at the point of exit.
“We must collectively build maritime capacity beyond borders. Sea-time training and practical exposure will position Nigerian and African youths to compete effectively in the international maritime space,” he said.
“In export development, the scheme is performing relatively well in the services sector, including international catering, shipbuilding and repairs, oil and gas, and aviation management services,” said the NEPZA MD.
The T+1 transition means that securities transactions executed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) will now settle one business day after trading, allowing investors to receive cash or securities faster than under the previous T+2 framework.
