BUA Foods Plc says that it made a total of N672 billion from its foods business in the first half of 2024.

This was disclosed in the company’s Unaudited Financial Results, released today and signed by the company’s Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu; Ayodele Abioye Managing Director, and Abdulrasheed Olayiwola Chief Finance Officer.

A breakdown of the figure, showed that the company netted N284.89 billion from sugar (Fortified) , followed by Bakery Flour N226.89 billion; Sugar (Non Fortified) delivered N84.39 billion, then Pasta N74.03 billion, head rice accounted for N1.199 billion while sales from Molasses was N488 million, and Semolina which brought in N397 million.

In all, the net revenue for the half-year was higher than the N320.93 billion recorded in the first half of 2023.

Further analysis of the Unaudited Financial statement for the six months ended June 30th, 2024, showed that the revenue grew by 110 percent, while the profit after tax jumped by 38 percent.
